It seems that I wasn't very clear. I thoroughly enjoy programming in Perl and therefore "time flies". I can code all day and feel like I have only been working for a short time. However, when I programmed in Pascal or BASIC or whatever, it felt like it took forever even when I had only coded for a few minutes.
